Richard H. Matthews, Chief Executive Officer – Richard H. Matthews focuses his practice in the areas of Banking, Business, Employment Law and Civil Litigation. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in 1974 and received his Juris Doctor in 1976 from the same institution. He has served as Pender & Coward’s CEO since 1999.

William A. Lascara, Chief Financial Officer - With over 30 years of legal experience, William A. Lascara practices Business and Commercial Law. He received his Juris Doctor from William and Mary Law School in 1983 and his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia. He has served as the firm’s CFO since 2004.

David L. Arnold, Chief Marketing Officer – David L. Arnold has practiced law for more than 20 years and serves as chairman of Pender & Coward’s Eminent Domain Practice Group. He also focuses his practice on Civil Litigation, Real Estate and Business Affairs. He received his Juris Doctor from William and Mary Law School in 1992 and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He has served as a member of Pender & Coward’s Executive/Management Committee since 2015.
