Bennett and Zydron has Reorganized as Bennett and Sharp, PLLC
Attorney Carlton Bennett has announced that the law firm of Bennett and Zydron in Virginia Beach has reorganized, and is now serving as Bennett and Sharp, PLLC. Kevin Sharp has become a partner with the firm, effective January 1, 2016, when the firm became Bennett and Sharp, PLLC. Attorney Eric Washburn is also an associate with the firm. Sharp, a graduate of George Mason University School of Law, began practicing law in Washington, D.C. before moving to Hampton Roads in 2000. He focuses his practice on serious personal injury claims with an emphasis on traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury cases. He also handles medical malpractice and nursery home negligence. Sharp is a member of the Brain Injury Association of America, the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Norfolk/Portsmouth Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar. He has been awarded the AV Preeminent ranking by Martindale-Hubbell, the profession's highly respected directory of lawyers throughout the world.
Bennett, senior partner, is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Florida. He specializes in brain injury litigation, and is recognized nationally as in expert in traumatic brain damage litigation, nursing home malpractice, and wrongful death cases. Washburn, a graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, began his career as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Danville, Virginia. He joined the firm in 2013 where he specializes in all types of personal injury claims, from serious automobile accidents to premises liability cases. He also handles medical malpractice and nursing home negligence matters. Washburn has been recognized by Super Lawyers in Virginia as a "Rising Star" for 2014, 2015, and 2016, and as a Legal Elite for 2015 by Virginia Business Magazine.
