Town and Treat at Town Center

VIRGINIA BEACH - Town Center invites the community to come dressed in your best costume! Enjoy free family-friendly activities at our annual Halloween event, Town and Treat. Stop by for trick-or-treating at Town Center businesses, activity stations, roaming characters, games, music, cotton candy, costume contests, and more! Dress in your finest Halloween costume to win a special prize! There will be a special appearance by Janice of Midnight Rain as Taylor Swift! 

  • Trick-or-treating throughout Town Center with over 25 candy stops! Just look for the balloons on the front doors of participating businesses
  • Music and dance contests by DJ PonFetti
  • Face painting by Merman
  • Mad Science of Hampton Roads activity stations
  • Balloon artistry by Francine
  • Free Halloween prizes and giveaways
  • Kids’ life-sized games
  • Scarecrow stilt walker
  • Movie and cartoon characters including Bluey and more
  • Free cotton candy while it lasts
  • Free 360 degree photo booth
  • Balloons by POPVB
  • Virginia Beach fire truck (if circumstances permit)

TOWN AND TREAT COSTUME CONTEST
Calling all ghouls and goblins! Enter our 2024 Town and Treat costume contest to show off your best attire. Children 12 and under only can enter one of three categories: “Cutest,” “Scariest,” and “Most Creative.” Leashed, well-behaved dogs are permitted to enter the “Best Dog” costume contest. This year, we have added a “Best Family Costume” contest too! There will be special trophies and prizes for each category!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Parking is free in Town Center. We recommend garage parking. Be mindful of on-street parking time limitations. In inclement weather, all outdoor entertainment will be canceled. Trick-or-treating will be moved inside each participating store. This event is provided for your enjoyment by the businesses of Virginia Beach Town Center, Armada Hoffler, and the City of Virginia Beach and produced by the Central Business District Association.
