CBDA remains extremely active in VB Connex, the business consortium established to support efforts to extend The Tide light rail system to Town Center as the next phase of a multi-modal regional transportation system. This system is designed to connect regional destinations such as the Norfolk Naval Base, Old Dominion University, Greenbrier, the Virginia Beach Oceanfornt, Oceana Naval Air Station, and the Norfolk International Airport. The following community leaders have voiced their support for light rail and are featured in local advertisements encouraging residents of Virginia Beach to VOTE YES for light rail on November 8.
