The Central Business District Association/CBDX presents Internship Day with Princess Anne High School, April 10, 11:30-1:30 pm, Town Center Westin Hotel.
The CBDA/CBDX Internship Day, in its 33rd year, is designed to develop, teach, and mentor students as they explore career pathways across diverse business industries. This year, CBDA businesses will host 136 students, selected through a competitive application process, who will shadow and work alongside business leaders whose work aligns with their career interests.
The morning student work session culminates with a luncheon at the Town Center Westin Hotel, featuring guest speaker Danny Rubin, founder of “Rubin,” an online curriculum provider for career development. A graduate of Kempsville High School and the University of Virginia, Danny drew upon early roles in public relations and as a TV reporter for WTKR News channel 3. Danny also served in leadership roles with CBDX, CBDA’s “young professionals.”
CBDX will present selected Princess Anne High School students with $7,500 in college scholarships.
Reservations for the luncheon are available on CBDA’s website or Eventbrite.
The interns of today are truly the leaders of tomorrow; what companies do today will directly shape our future.
